The solidity of the physical environment that surrounds us in this dimension is all part of the illusion, of course. As humans, we’re hard pressed (no pun intended, really!) not to bring this aspect into our vibrational pattern and resonate with it from time to time. Usually it’s from a standpoint of reflecting our perception that we’re stuck, as the saying goes, between a rock and a hard place. The meaning being that no matter what we do there can be no good outcome in a particular situation. Other phrases come to mind as well: “damned if you do, damned if you don’t”, “the lesser of two evils”, “the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t (know)”, etc. The thing is, though, that because this apparent impervious structure is comprised of pieces of energy moving all the time we do have options and choices, always – and many of them. The rocks themselves would agree even in their very energy-dense state.
We kind of like being stuck at times, though, right? It’s as if when the decision facing us can be taken out of our hands so that we have no accountability or responsibility for that choice that we’re happier. We can blame someone or something else for the consequences that follow our actions or simply throw up our hands and capitulate – unhappily – to whatever happens next. So that we can become at times increasingly dissatisfied with the path of our life and our “fate” as it were on this planet because we perceive our choices are not ours alone. Au contraire, gentle reader.
Animals don’t like being stuck, not surprisingly. At times their seemingly (to our eyes) agitated movements belie another connection that is missed by modern humans almost entirely. And that is they are simply be-ing at one with Energy itself on all levels through their actions, thoughts and emotions. Their ability to first embrace, process and release that which doesn’t serve their highest and best good while accepting what does serve them is simply phenomenal. Even in situations of life and death they actually merge with rather than create conflict against the energy that is present. We as humans see conflict because that is what we choose to see rather than the balance of Nature – we see them as being stuck when, in fact, they’re not. They always flow in perfect harmony with their unified soul and animal experience paths leaving any judgment about rocks and hard places to less advanced species. To human eyes we see attack and death at times and for animals there is change and renewal on a different plane altogether. Yes, they mourn and grieve and yes, they feel the impact of their choices on an incredibly deep level just as we do. Yet even as they move in a life-saving attempt to evade the energy that may mean the end of their life they do so knowing that they are intimately connected with their predator. That their partnership with this other being on the planet, this very painful and dramatic interaction, is a mirror of a relationship between souls without which neither would evolve.
The next time you find yourself believing, falsely, that you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place I invite you to take a second look from the place of observer of energy flow. You may even be gifted with seeing through your choices hurtful as they may be your role in the situation or issue at hand. From this vantage point, perhaps, your choice may be as light as a feather upon you rather than a burden as you move forward knowing all is in balance. Trust that your highest and best good is supported by the Universe – always.
