Every single day all other species on the globe have first-hand energy relationship with our planet through their physical form via feet, wings, skin, roots, leaves or crystalline structure. The nearest our species comes to that is when we’re outside and the wind touches our hair or skin or when we’re barefoot on the beach or in a river. At that very moment a tremendous amount of multi-layered vibrational exchange of power surges back and forth, back and forth between our bodies and that of the planet – we were literally made for each other. And as our species evolved and grew to believe that we were capable of dominating this living, breathing planet of ours, so, too, did the “weather” become an issue, interfering as we perceive it to do. We even gave it a definition that was outside of ourselves as it relates to the “condition” of the planet, forgetting that the same air, water, earth and fire of which we are made surrounds us and IS us all of the time – “the state of the atmosphere with respect to wind, temperature, cloudiness, moisture, pressure, etc.”
Gone are the ambassadors of the Earth herself from our lives as that is what the elements are for all of us – bringers of information so deep that we are changed on a cellular level every single time we have contact with them. When the sun kisses your cheeks it is saying “you are deeply loved.” When the rain cleanses your body it is saying “all will be well.” When the air brushes across your brow it is saying “rest your mind.” When the earth solidly supports your every movement it is saying “you are safe.”
What would it be like, do you imagine, if we were to embrace the elements in their individual states and together in combined spirit in spite of their sometimes fierce expressions of energy? I understand that in this dimension of both light and shadow we anoint some as villains only because we feel a need to do so when their essence interacts with our own in such a way that we feel victimized. As with animals, all of the elements – this weather – were here at the beginning of the planet’s existence and will remain so long after other species depart. Anything that happens in a life in which they play a part serves only as the backdrop, the environment for a soul path and its evolution. It isn’t the wind’s fault via tornado that destruction of what we’ve created on all levels occurs – that intent is formed on a soul level, expressing itself via human experience. It isn’t the fire or water’s fault for damage done to dwellings or the land itself – all beings in that situation came together, even momentarily, driven by soul purpose which is unknown – probably – to them. It’s uncomfortable for our species to understand and truly claim the direction of our own lives – especially in these modern times – although it’s been that way from the beginning. To change our life path as easily as the wind changes direction when we become mired in discordant frequency that doesn’t belong to us seems impossible at best yet the very capricious nature of the elements calls for us to do just that.
The more we can disentangle ourselves from the blaming dance of weather and elements, as an example, the more able we are to receive their gifts in a lifetime and understand their deep purpose in our lives. The more able we are to express authentic gratitude for their presence in our lives the more able we are to receive their wisdom and begin to listen with broadening hearts, as the message from each one of them is sent with heart and profound love from our communal mother, Gaia. For as she is our servant, we are her stewards and acceptance of all her wildish ways calls for the wild in each of us to step away from the false cocoon of dominion and into illumination with all that is.
