The healing abilities of Animals never cease to amaze and at the same time that we humans are aware of this truth we also perceive them to be less than. Somehow lacking in the abilities we hold so dear of intellect, logic and the big C – consciousness. Nothing could be further from the truth, of course, as the Animals themselves would tell you and more importantly show you. For theirs is a language of touch and pure energy – words are simply not necessary for the message to be effectively communicated. And at times it transcends even touch.
Who among us has been lucky enough to feel the warmth of a well-placed leaning-against hug from a canine companion? Other Animals may bob their heads and chirp, or toss their heads and neigh which begins the signaling of what they want to say. That communication being that they like us, they want us to know and they’d like to be at the very least physically closer to us. It’s all a matter of energy to them and what’s so interesting about this is that long before we see the physical manifestation of their message they are feeling us. They sense and interpret our bio-electric field of energy and all of the information in it which is considerable, before they act. Unlike humans their actions are not without consideration and it is a whole body processing rather than a concept of mind determination that we again hold so dear. Nothing else is as important to them as the physical and how it interacts with the moment. Even those Animals we may perceive to be aloof – like cats – are eager to connect and do so willingly and selflessly.
There’s nothing quite like the start of a deep motorboat-like purr from a feline companion when they’re happy to be with us. Did you know that science verifies the sound of a cat purring is at a vibrational level that helps improve bone density and promote healing? As I said – amazing healing abilities. And while some of them – just like dogs – prefer their inner circle of intimates to be small cats are equally invested in connecting with our species in harmony and peace. They can be part of programs designed specifically to facilitate these outcomes that may have been previously dog-only if we let them.
There’s just such a program in Colorado – where I live – at the Denver International Airport called – tongue in cheek – CATS – Canine Airport Therapy Squad program. https://www.flydenver.com/cats. Its objective is to help relieve traveler stress and anxiety using mostly until recently dogs. A new member of the team was announced recently – a lovely female cat by the name of Xeli – ZEE-lee – and she volunteers for two hour shifts at the airport along with her canine team members who are all certified as therapy animals. Imagine sitting in an airport, bored or anxious, waiting for your flight when along comes Xeli, tail held high, just wanting to say “hello” and share some of her lovely energy. As effective of a stress reducer as any pharmaceutical intervention made by humans, I’d say. Unconditional love coming your way devoid of agenda except to reunite you with your true self as a being of light and compassion on Earth. Imagine how much friendlier the skies would be if all airports had such programs.
